TEHRAN, Apr. 30 (MNA) – In a statement on Tuesday, Iranian parliament members condemned the crackdown on pro-Palestine students in the United States and Europe.

Saying that today, Gaza has turned into a battlefield in which the oppressed are fighting against a usurping group, the Iranian lawmakers said that sympathizing with the oppressed and protesting against the oppressors is the least duty of humans.

The declaration of solidarity with Palestine by academics of the world, especially in Western countries, is a movement raised by their justice-seeking nature, the statement read.

They stressed that the spontaneous pro-Palestine rallies in US universities show that the Western media have failed to distort the facts in the Gaza Strip.

Irrational violence in the face of this righteous call would not help the oppressors achieve their goals, the Iranian lawmakers underlined.

A wave of pro-Palestinian protests has spread at American universities as students gathered on campuses around the country, facing off with the police, in a widening showdown to call for putting an end to the Gaza War.
