TEHRAN, Apr. 01 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says that the Israeli attack on Iran's consulate in Syria is a violation of all international obligations.

Amir-Abdollahian made the comments in a phone conversation with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad on Monday night, after the Israeli regime attacked Iran's consulate in the Syrian capital of Damascus.

During the phone conversation, Mekdad strongly condemned the Israeli regime's aggression and termed it a gross violation of international regulations, especially the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

Amir-Abdollahian for his part, thanked his Syrian counterpart for following up on the issue and said, "Netanyahu has completely lost his mental balance due to the consecutive failures of the Israeli regime in Gaza and not achieving the ambitious goals of the Zionists."
