TEHRAN, Feb. 09 (MNA) – The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani says Tehran is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Beijing to jointly promote regional and global peace and stability.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani met and held talks with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs during his visit to Beijing.

"Tehran is willing to solve Iran's nuclear issue through political and diplomatic channels and hopes that all relevant parties will fulfill their obligations by showing honesty and seriousness," Bagheri Kani said in this meeting. 

"Tehran is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Beijing to jointly promote regional and global peace and stability," he added.

Appreciating Tehran's performance in maintaining its relationship with the relevant parties, the Chinese diplomat stated, "China has always supported the maintenance of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and actively promotes the process of political settlement of Iran's nuclear issue." 

Stating that Beijing firmly supports the true aspirations of the Palestinian people, he acknowledged that Beijing is willing to cooperate with Tehran and other Islamic countries in the direction of a quick, comprehensive, and sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue.

Regarding the situation of the Red Sea, the Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister also stated, "The current situation of this sea is caused by Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip."

Beijing calls on all relevant parties to jointly protect the safety of the Red Sea and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries bordering the Red Sea.
