TEHRAN, Feb. 03 (MNA) – The Iranian foreign minister’s senior adviser for special political affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji met Special UN Secretary-General Envoy for Yemen affairs, Hans Grundberg to discuss Yemen developments.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the region, especially in Yemen, hoping that the progress achieved in Yemen's political affairs will reach the final results.

Referring to the genocide of the people of Gaza by the Zionist regime, Ali Asghar Khaji emphasized that it can not be expected that the people and governments of the region stay indifferent to these crimes.

The US can not expect Iran and the countries of the region to show restraints while it supports the Zionist regime with weapons and manages the killing of the people of Gaza.

Iranian diplomat also welcomed the progress made in the process of peace negotiations in Yemen, hoping that the talks between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's national salvation government with UN cooperation can be successfully concluded and the people of Yemen can be saved from the difficult humanitarian situation.

The UN special envoy for Yemen also presented e detailed explanations about the UN road map to establish peace in Yemen.
