Iran exports gas to its western neighbor via two border points according to an agreement reached between the two countries about two months ago, a report by the NIGC quoted Saeed Aqli as saying on Saturday.
From the start of 2024, the connection to one of the exchange points was broken due to the normal calibration process; meanwhile, the commitments on export are being fulfilled via the other crossing, the official added.
Aqli went on to say that the calibration of devices and gadgets used in gas exports is a normal process and is not limited to exports to Iraq.
Iran exports up to 50 million cubic meters of natural gas per day to Iraq under the export agreement between the two countries.
