TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s Deputy President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-based Economy Ruhollah Firouzabadi Dehghani has said that his country attaches great importance to Africa and the opportunities for cooperation in the continent.

Firouzabadi Dehghani made his remarks in a meeting with the special envoy to the president of Senegal Cheikh Kante in Tehran on Saturday.

Referring to the religious and political closeness between Iran and Senegal, Firouzabadi Dehghani said Tehran is willing to activate scientific cooperation with Dakar.

Senegal will have a bright future, the official added.

For his part, the Senegalese official said he will make use of all potential available to promote scientific and technological cooperation with Iran.

Once Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that the key to progress is science and technology.
