He made the remarks in a meeting in Beirut late on Wednesday with caretaker Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati.
The foreign minister underscored the need for more enhanced diplomatic efforts to ensure a full and durable ceasefire in Gaza.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed that if the Zionist regime moves towards the continuation and spread of the war, the regional situation would be much different from that of before the ceasefire.
The Lebanese prime minister, for his part, criticized the double standard approaches of certain countries and human rights and international bodies towards the situation on the ground in Gaza.
Mikati said that his country has been standing by Palestine for the past 75 years as it deems the Palestinian issue as the right issue and believes that power must not be allowed to prevail over right.
He also hailed Iran’s role in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine from the very beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza 45 days ago.
