TEHRAN, Oct. 24 (MNA) – The US-run Ain al-Assad Airbase in Iraq’s province of al-Anbar came under rocket attack, media sources announced on Tuesday evening.

SANA news agency announced that Ain al-Asad base in Iraq's Anbar province was attacked for the umpteenth time in the recent days.

Al-Mayadeen said in a report that several explosions were heard in this American base.

Al-Mayadeen reporter in Baghdad reported that preliminary evidence indicates that Ain al-Asad base was targeted with several rockets.

Issuing a statement, the Islamic Resistance of Iraq claimed responsibility for this attack.

Ain al-Asad base has been the target of drone and rocket attacks by the Iraqi Islamic Resistance several times in the past few days.
