TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (MNA) – The spokesman of the Iranian government has slammed the silence of the Western countries over the killing of Gazan children by the Israeli regime.

"Is the West's reaction to the killing of children always the same as the Gaza war?" Ali Bahadori-Jahromi said.

He cited that the West generally reacts differently when it comes to defending the rights of women and children from different countries.

"Are the standards of the West in defending the rights of women, children, and the general human beings equal in different countries?" he added.

Most of the Western countries have refused to condemn the Israeli regime's crimes against the Palestinian people in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

Health officials in Gaza say the Israeli bombardment has killed thousands of people since October 7, when fighters from the Hamas Resistance movement launched an unprecedented large-scale attack against the occupying regime.
