TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kan'ani has condemned Friday's suicide bombing at an Afghan mosque that led to the killing and injury of several worshippers.

Offering condolences to the families of the attacks' martyrs, Kan'ani wished speedy recovery for the injured.

He considered the targeting of worshipers in mosques to be one of the most vicious terrorist crimes and against the teachings of Islam.

A suicide bombing ripped through a mosque in northern Afghanistan on Friday, killing at least seven worshippers.

Seven people were killed during prayer and 15 injured in the attack in the city of Pul e Khumri in Baghlan.

The ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
