TEHRAN, Oct. 09 (MNA) – In retaliation for the martyrdom of three of its members, the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement announced a missile attack on two Israeli regime's military bases on Monday.

The Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah struck two Israeli military positions with precision guided missiles after the Israeli regime martyred Hezbollah members in shelling attacks, Al-Jazeera reported.

Hezbollah in a statement on Monday said it had fired rockets and mortars on two Israeli military posts in the Galilee. The Israeli military said it identified a number of “launches” from Lebanon into occupied territories, claiming that there were no injuries. It said it was responding with artillery fire on Lebanon.

The Associated Press news agency identified those martyred Hezbollah members as Hussam Mohammad Ibrahim, Ali Raef Ftouni, and Ali Hassan Hodroj.

Hezbollah said that those killed had been “martyred as a result of the Zionist aggression on south Lebanon Monday afternoon”.

The Israeli regime military began shelling southern Lebanon on Monday after a cross-border raid claimed by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) armed group.

The Israeli army said soldiers backed by helicopters killed at least two gunmen who crossed the frontier.
