TEHRAN, Oct. 09 (MNA) – Iran’s top human rights official says that the actions of the Palestinian Resistance actions are a legitimate defense against the crimes committed against them by the Zionist regime.

Secretary General of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi made the remarks in a post on X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter.

Operation Al-Aqsa Storm is the result of 7 decades of the Israeli regime's occupation and the martyrdom of hundreds of Palestinians, he said.

The Israeli regime's attacks on the Palestinians' infrastructures and hospitals must be condemned and stopped, he added.

On Saturday, Palestinian Resistance groups in a coordinated move launched a large-scale operation dubbed "Al-Aqsa Storm" with entering the occupied territories along with a heavy barrage of rockets in response to the Israeli regime's desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increased settler violence. 

On Sunday night, Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu security cabinet voted to put the regime officially at war.
