TEHRAN, Oct. 09 (MNA) – A father and son who were aboard a light airplane died when the plane crashed in South Australia (SA), local media reported on Monday.

The SA Police on Monday confirmed that a 50-year-old pilot died overnight after being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition following the crash, Xinhua reported.

The pilot's 24-year-old son died at the scene on Sunday evening.

The pair were traveling in a Cessna light aircraft when it struck power lines and crashed into a field near the small town of Crystal Brook, approximately 200 km north of Adelaide, after 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday.
