TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) — Iran’s southeastern province of Chaharmahal-o Bakhtiari and United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday explored avenues for the export of mineral water to Dubai, deputy governor-general of Planning Affairs said on Friday.

The issue was discussed during the recent trip of Chaharmahal-o Bakhtiari traders to Dubai, Saadatollah Abbasi said, adding, Dubai side called for the export of the mineral water produced by the province.

The two sides also agreed on the annual export of goods from Chaharmahal-o Bakhtiari to Dubai up to $10 million per year, he noted.

He added that the export of packaged fruits to the UAE Economic Zone was another issue which both sides discussed.

Abbasi noted that Chaharmahal-o Bakhtiari holds major part of mineral water resources in Iran. It presently exports 480 million liters of mineral water per annum through six production units. In addition, the country’s first mineral water park is under construction in Kuhrang city in the province, which would have a capacity to produce 2 billion cubic meters of mineral water per year.
