TEHRAN Sept. 28 (Mehr News Agency) – South Pars’ first phase will be under the way at the end of this autumn, Asadollah Salehi, general director of South Pars Oil and Gas Company announced here Sunday.

The first phase could be totally on stream before winter, Salehi said. “The oceanic operation of the project is also under way,” he added.

 

Approving Salehi’s announcement, director of Sadra Oil and Gas Company, Mehdi Tehrani added there have been physical developments in the process of platform construction, the part for which his company is responsible.

 

The total price of the first phase of South Pars project is declared $780 million by its contractor company, Petro Pars. It is estimated to produce a daily output of 25 million cubic meters of refined gas, 40,000 liquid barrels, as well as 200 tons of sulfur.
