Iranian officials have welcomed a move taken by Taliban to open the gates of Kamal Khan Dam on Helmand River, allowing its water to flow into drought-hit Hamoun Lake in southeast Iran.

TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) – Official in charge of Iranian Embassy to Kabul announced the opening of Kamal Khan Dam water by Afghanistan and flow of water towards Iranian border.
