Seven Katyushas and four mortar shells hit the US-controlled Al-Omar oil field in eastern Syria, oil of which is being stolen and smuggled out of Syria by the Syrian forces, reports from Syria suggest.
The Americans responded to the source of the shells, news sources said while reporting no casualties from each side.
