TEHRAN, July 14 (MNA) – A total of 184,060 tons of steel, aluminum and copper worth over Rls.119,799,720,000 was traded at Tehran Metals Exchange (TME) last week. The transactions upped by 362 percent and 264 percent in terms of weight and value respectively, in comparison with the same period the week before.

Some 178,600 tons of steel products worth over Rls.928,116,460,000 were traded at the stock market that is indicating a 97.3 percent and 77.47 percent increase respectively, in terms of weight and value.

 

Also, 2,860 tons of aluminum valued at Rls.80,510,960,000 was traded at the TME which accounted for 1.55 percent of the weight and 6.72 percent of value of the total market for the products.

 

Moreover, 2,600 tons of copper products worth Rls.189,369,600,000 were traded at the exchange, the transactions registered 1.42 percent and 15.81 percent of the total market for the commodity, in terms of weight and value respectively, in the past week.

 

No trade was made on the zinc, concentrates and molybdenum products and the precious stones during the period, however.

 

Meanwhile, total transactions at Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) on the weekly close increased by 13.22 percent as compared with the same period the week before, a report said on Friday.

 

Also, increased by 2.53 percent compared with the same period last week, the number of the stockholders at the TSE hit 16,421 during the seven-day period.
