TEHRAN, June 27 (MNA) -- Establishing justice in the world is a great cause of every human being, President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said here on Monday, adding that despite all the technological progress, nations are still suffering from discrimination and lack of social justice.

He made the remarks during a meeting with former Greek prime minister George Papandreou, who is currently the leader of the Socialist Party of Greece.

Ahmadinejad said all those who seek justice all over the world should adopt a correct and inclusive definition of justice to serve as the criterion of their activities because a human being submits to justice whenever he faces it.

Referring to the fact that in some societies and particularly Western societies, being a republican or a democrat has been turned into a cover or slogan for politicians to achieve power, Ahmadinejad said that the real justice-seekers are always seeking to realize justice in the world as the great cause of every human being, and so they never try to achieve earthly power.

The Iranian nation loves peace, and, following their guidelines, Iranians have always tried to establish lasting peace, security, and justice in the world, he stated.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Greece were two of the greatest centers of civilization during two different eras.

By relying on their rich cultures and numerous affinities, the Iranian and Greek nations should try to establish global justice that is based on respecting the dignity of all nations.

Papandreou said that the Iranian nation has always been a pioneer in realizing social justice and added that efforts to establish global justice help establish security, peace, and welfare for all people in the world.

Papandreou, who is also the leader of the Socialist International, referred to the injustices committed by some powers, particularly the United States, in Iraq, and their attempts to prevent Iran from accessing peaceful nuclear technology.

All governments and nations should try to establish justice in the world so that unilateralism is uprooted and principles and values are established, he said.
