TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA)– US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Tuesday imposed sanctions on seven Lebanese nationals under the pretext of having ties with Lebanese Hezbollah and its financial firm, Al-Qard al-Hassan (AQAH).

The seven individuals have linked to Al-Qard al-Hassan (AQAH), a financial institution that was blacklisted in 2007.

The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) claimed in a statement that Hezbollah in Lebanon was using Al-Qard al-Hassan (AQAH) financial institution to get access to the international financial system.
