TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (MNA) – A high-ranking Iraqi delegation will arrive in Tehran for an unannounced visit later today to hold talks with Iranian officials, according to sources.

According to the Arabic-language news portal 'The Middle East News', the delegation, carrying a message from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, will be headed by Abu Jihad al-Hashemi.

The source did not clarify the purpose of this visit and the topics of the talks in Iran but stressed that the visit follows a special order by the Iraqi Prime Minister.
