TEHRAN Sept. 5 (Mehr News Agency) -- Non-oil exports in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year of 1382 (started March 21)show a 20.2% increase in value compared to the previous year, Minister of Commerce Mohammad Shariatmadari announced here Friday.

Agricultural and industrial products showed 43% and 18.5% hikes in value respectively, while handicraft and mining products registered only 4% growth compared to the previous corresponding year, Shariatmadari said.

 

Describing the achievement as "encouraging", he added that there is a 20.2% increase in the total growth of exports which is the result of the export promotion policies adopted by government."
