TEHRAN, Nov. 28 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Special Aide on International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has warned against enemies’ plots in Kashmir region.

“The enemies are attempting to fan the flame of war in the region. The Kashmir model and dozens of other examples only exist as a result of colonial policies in the region. Therefore, we believe the most important thing is to be vigilant against such attempts,” Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Wednesday in a meeting with visiting Indian journalists.

The aide to Iranian Parliament speaker hailed India’s position on the international issues and said that India has special position in foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran

He highlighted that the two countries of Iran and India have a lot of potential in different fields to expand cooperation.

He condemned the unjust economic sanctions as a continuation of the 40-year-old hostilities of Americans towards Iran, describing such hostile actions as a psychological war against the Islamic Republic.

The Indian journalists, for their part, expressed their gratitude for being provided the opportunity to discuss issues such as the Islamic Republic of Iran's position on sanctions, the issue of Kashmir and regional and international issues.

Separately, Amir-Abdollahian held a meeting with former minister of foreign affairs and emigrants of Lebanon Adnan Mansour, during which regional issues such as Syria, Iraq, and Yemen were discussed.

The aide to Iranian Parliament speaker emphasized the importance of Lebanon as a nation in the Resistance Axis, saying “Lebanon is on the side of resistance against the occupying regime of Israel and Takfiri terrorists in the region and so far has not allowed foreign interference in its affairs.”

He further described Lebanon as a friend and an important country for the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding “we consider Lebanon's security and stability as important for strengtheningn collective security in the region.”

He went on to criticize the Saudi unconstructive behavior in the region, in particular its military aggression against Yemen, calling for a political solution to the regional crises, especially the Yemeni crisis.

He called on the Islamic countries and international organizations to address the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.

Adnan Mansour, for his part, expressed his appreciation to the positive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region, stressing the need to strengthen the relations between Islamic countries.

Mansour pointed out that Lebanese and Iranian relations are praiseworthy in various fields, adding that Lebanon can use Iran’s experiences in different fields.

He hailed the role the Islamic Republic of Iran played in the recent victories in Syria and Iraq against Takfiri terrorism and ISIL, emphasizing that Iran’s support for the Syria and Iraq played a key role in returning security and stability to those countries.
