Third Lieutenant Mostafa Abdolmaleki, the commander of a local border guardhouse in Baneh, was martyred by gun shots during a clash with traffickers late last night.
Clashes with terrorist groups and trespassers are common in the area. Earlier in July, gunmen killed an Iranian soldier in the same region, while he was on duty in a watchtower.
