TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Iranian armed forces team participating at the 2018 Intl. Army Games finished second place at the Guardian of Order contest hosted by Russia.

Russia’s military police team finished first at the Guardian of Order contest of the 2018 International Army Games, while Iran’s armed forces team finished second. The Guardian of Order contest was held in four categories including shooting, navigating through the obstacle course, patrol units competition and group competition.

The Russian team went head to head with the Iranian team at the final round of the contest, which was held at Alabino military base outside Moscow, and came on top with an advantage of just a few seconds.

Iran’s Guardian of Order team compromised highly-skilled officers from the Law Enforcement Force. Both teams reached the finish line after navigating through 53 different obstacles on a 12km-long course.

On Sat., Iran Navy team of divers managed to break the world record in two items of Depth Competition as part of the 2018 International Army Games currently underway in Iranian city of Nowshahr.

The Games, running through July 29 to August 11, has been initiated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, and is co-organized this year by China, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Iran.
