Kharrazi along with other international scholars discuss international challenges including, terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, trade wars and other issues.
The two-day forum kicked off today with 40 countries’ envoys and 70 scholars from 23 countries in attendance. Also some 270 Chinese and foreign international relation scholars and industry guests have been invited to the event, Associated Press reported.
Hosted by Tsinghua University, World Peace Forum can be regarded as the China’s first high-level unofficial international security conference.
The forum has been established in 2012 and is co-organized by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs.
Six previous editions of the event were held with the aim of providing a platform for strategists and think tank scholars around the world to discuss international peace and security issues.
