TEHRAN, Jul. 09 (MNA) – Alireza Rahimi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran's Parliament, said that Iran’s maximum interest have not been ensured in late talks with European countries and meetings should continue.

The statement, which was issued on Friday after the meeting of JCPOA Joint Commission in Vienna, was the result of the first round of talks between Iran and remaining signatories after US withdrawal form the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actions (JCPOA), he said, adding, “this can be considered as a step forward.”

The strategic view of recent meetings and the statement is first to save the pact and then secure Islamic Republic of Iran’s interests, Rahimi noted.

“However, we believe that Iran’s maximum interest are not served in this level and there is need to continue negotiations,” he highlighted.

It is important for us to maintain the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the negotiations and the win-win framework of the JCPOA, he added.
