TEHRAN, Jul. 05 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Wed. that meetings and discussions between President Rouhani and accompanying Iranian officials with Austrian hosts have been “fruitful”.

In a tweet late Wednesday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif hailed the 160 years of diplomatic relations between Iran and Austria, saying that “fruitful” discussions were held with Austrian hosts, as well as business community, while noting Austria’s holding of EU presidency.

The Iranian top diplomat further asserted that commitment to the JCPOA was “vividly on display”, and called for the translation of EU’s will to preserve the nuclear agreement into action.

While attending a ceremony marking Iran-Austria’s 160 years of diplomatic relations earlier that day, Zarif highlighted that the existing bilateral relations between Tehran and Vienna “are strong and based on mutual respect and interest”, stressing the value of diplomacy in creating constructive spaces for cooperation between nations.
