TEHRAN, Jun. 26 (MNA) – Iranian Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari left Tehran for Omani capital Muscat last night to attend a meeting of Iran-Oman Joint Commission and meet with different Omani officials.

According to the Public Relations Department of Iran’s Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry, Mohammad Shariatmadari is expected to attend other meetings with different Omani officials.

Shariatmadari will meet with Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Cooperation Affairs Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al-Said as well as Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs Darwish bin Ismail bin Ali Al Balushi.

Meeting with Omani business activists and attending a groundbreaking ceremony for an Iranian school are among other programs that the Iranian minister has planned to do on his one-day visit to Oman.

Iran's trade volume with Oman amounted to $ 577 million last year and it stood at $ 159 million in the first two months of the Iranian year (beginning on March 21.)
