TEHRAN, Jun. 26 (MNA) – Iranian president has sent a message to his Croatian counterpart to congratulate the Statehood Day of the country, expressing hope that bilateral relations further deepen.

According to the official website of Iran’s Presidency, Hassan Rouhani sent a message to the President of Croatia Ms Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic yesterday to offer congratulations on the Statehood Day of the country, expressing hope that relations between the two countries further deepen in all fields of mutual interest.

Iranian president expressed hope that “with regard to the ample common cultural values and various opportunities for cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Croatia, relations between the two countries further develop in all political, economic and cultural fields.”

He concludes his letter by wishing ‘health and success’ for the Croatian president and ‘felicity’ and ‘prosperity’ for the people of the Republic of Croatia.

The Statehood Day occurs every year on 25 June in Croatia to celebrate the country's 1991 declaration of independence from Yugoslavia.
