TEHRAN, Jun. 25 (MNA) – On a visit to Fordo nuclear site, the Seyyed Mahmoud Alavi, Iran's Minister of Intelligence, said that Iran can resume uranium enrichment at a higher level than it could before the JCPOA in a short period of time.

“If other parties want to withdraw from the JCPOA following the US, the Islamic Republic of Iran can return to the time before the JCPOA in a short time through the valuable achievements of Iranian scientists…” Alavi said on a visit to Shahid Masoud Ali Mohammadi Enrichment Complex in Fordo.

“The Iranians scientists have shown that the withdrawal of a member does not have any effect on their determination and will, and as the Leader of Islamic Revolution said, Iran's enrichment capacity under JCPOA must reach 190,000 SWUs,” the inteligence minister added.

He warned the United States that its threats and sanctions will not stop Iran’s nuclear industry, adding that in the talks with Europeans and others, Iranian officials have told them that the nuclear deal was on the brink of collapse.
