TEHRAN, Jun. 25 (MNA) – As the Iranian Rial loses more of its value against the foreign currencies, the Iranian president held a meeting Sun. with economic officials to bring the situation under control.

An economic official who attended the meeting with President Rouhani yesterday told Mehr News Agency correspondent “they could convince the president to agree on negotiable transactions between importers and exporters in exchange market.”

So far, any US dollar transactions were banned by the government in the free market and exchange markets as it had ordered the merchants and importers to register their requests for foreign currencies on an internet platform called Nima at the price of 42,000 rials for each US dollar.

The official further told MNA correspondent that they government is preparing itself to take other necessary measures to bring Rial fluctuations against foreign currencies, most notably the US dollar, under its control.
