TEHRAN, Jun. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi criticized some European companies for their hasty reaction to US withdrawal from JCPOA, saying that US policies are doomed to fail.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Norway’s Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Soereide held in Oslo on Thursday.

The Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) further highlighted the importance of obtaining tangible results from political and economic supports of European Union regarding the Iran nuclear deal dubbed JCPOA.

JCPOA’s collapse will inflict irreversible damage to the international community, Salehi added.

He hoped that Europe would understand the sensitivity of the circumstances and adopt the required measures and commitments in appropriate time.

Soereide, for her part, highlighted that Norway fully supports the JCPOA.

Termination of JCPOA will have severe consequences for the stability and security of Middle East and the nuclear non-proliferation regime and it will also decrease the credibility of International Atomic Energy Agency, she added.

She further hoped that saving JCOPA would serve as a facilitator for solving other conflicts of the region.
