TEHRAN, Apr. 25 (MNA) – Iran Entrepreneurship Index (IEI) improved in 2018 with 13 ranks up.

Given the above issue, Iran Entrepreneurship Index moved up 13 ranks and stood at 72 among 137 countries in the world.

In this respect, Islamic Republic of Iran is the 5th country in the world that managed to improve its score.

Global Entrepreneurship Index is an indicator that assesses the health of entrepreneurship ecosystem in a country using measurement of quality of entrepreneurship in two individual and institutional levels.

According to the statistics released, Iran succeeded in promoting its rank in the global level as compared to other countries.

Another statistics shows that Iran Entrepreneurship Index in MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) has hit 11th rank, showing a considerable growth as a year earlier.

Islamic Republic of Iran experienced considerable improvement of its score in the relevant field but it is a matter of regret to say that bottlenecks existing in entrepreneurship ecosystem of the country is not satisfactory at the present condition.

Pillars of IEI in 2017-2018 include as follows: understanding opportunity, obtaining skill of startups, risk, cultural logistics, opportunity-based business, attraction of technology, human capital, competition, innovation at product, innovation in process, high growth rate in the businesses, etc., the report concluded.
