TEHRAN, Apr. 23 (MNA) – Iranian director Marjan Alizadeh will be joining the rest of decision makers for the 2018 Hot Docs Festival to select the best documentaries to compete in the Canadian festival.

Iranian film director and writer Marjan Alizadeh has been chosen to join the decision makers for the 2018 Hot Docs Festival in Canada.

Alizadeh is the founder of Iran ArtHouse Film, which is involved in marketing and promotion of Iranian independent feature, documentary and short films.

Her first feature documentary “Persian Catwalk” (2009) was screened at more than 30 international festivals and brought her much success, including a award for Best Directing and Best Documentary from the Vesoul International Film Festival in France and Best Directing from the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.

The Hot Docs Festival, North America’s largest documentary festival, offers an outstanding selection of over 200 films from Canada and around the world to Toronto audiences of more than 200,000.

The 2018 Hot Docs Festival will run April 26 to May 6, 2018.
