TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (MNA) – Iranian military official said on Sunday that “if the government supplies appropriate budget share, the navy will be able to construct warships with a length of 200m.”

Communications Bureau Chief of the Chief Commander of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Abbas Sedehi, said that “at the time of Pahlavi regime, an American military advisor would receive $12,000 a month to grease a helicopter while Iranian officers did not have the right to do so.”

“Today, if the government provides the navy with necessary funds , it will definitely be able to build warships with a length of 200 meters and even aircraft carriers,” he added.

Iranian armed forces have gained great achievements in manufacturing military equipment despite Western countries’ sanctions.
