DARAA, Dec. 17 (MNA) – A new batch of humanitarian aid from the Russian government was distributed on Saturday among the people of Izra’ in the northern countryside of Daraa.

Head of the Executive Office in Daraa province, Awad Sweidan, pointed out to the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Russia, hailing the role of Russia’s people and government in supporting Syria in all aspects, especially in combating terrorism

In turn, a representative of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim expressed happiness to support Syria’s citizens and ease their suffering by all means.

For her part, Director of Social Affairs and Labor Department Nibal al-Hariri said the distribution today targeted needy people such as the families of martyrs, displaced people, and the most impoverished, noting that two food packages were distributed to each family.
