TEHRAN, Dec. 09 (MNA) – Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu landed in Tehran on Saturday to discuss the expansion of ties with his Iranian counterpart.

Turkish Minister of the Interior Suleyman Soylu arrived in Tehran on Saturday and was received by Hossein Zolfaghari, Iranian Deputy Interior Minister.

Suleyman Soylu will meet with his Iranian counterpart Abdul Reza Rahmani Fazli.

The Iranian and the Turkish interior ministers will discuss the expansion of bilateral ties, cooperation in fighting terrorism, mutual security concerns and the most important regional and international issues. They will also mull over the recent terrorist attack in which a border guard was martyred and 7 other guards and engineers were injured.

Suleyman Soylu has travelled to Iran at the formal invitation of Iranian interior minister, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, accompanied by Turkish Gendarmerie General Commander Arif Cetin and Selami Altınok the General Director of Security.
