TEHRAN, Dec. 08 (MNA) – During the upcoming visit of UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson to Tehran, he will hold a meeting with Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani.

Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), and Boris Johnson, the British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, will hold a bilateral meeting in Tehran on Saturday, during the visit of British diplomat to Tehran.

Mr. Shamkhani, the Special Aide of Iranian Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, will receive the British visitor on Saturday in the afternoon.

The case of the dual national journalist, the British-Iranian woman Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who was arrested by Iranian intelligence apparatus and found guilty for performing anti-Iran measures in Iran, is on the agenda of Johnson’s visit.

Also putting Iranian-British relations on new footing has been announced as another objective of the visit.

Making his first visit to Tehran as foreign secretary, Johnson will also discuss the political and security trend of development in the Middle East in his meetings with Iranian officials.

The necessity of setting up a unanimous global and all-out initiative against the threat of terrorism, the international developments, and improving economic ties are on the other topics on the agenda of Johnson’s visit to Tehran.
