TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (MNA) – Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Ali Akbar Salehi, said Tue. that Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) bolsters the Non-Proliferation Treaty and is in the best interest of Iran and international community.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 31st International Islamic Unity Conference on Tuesday in Tehran, the nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi said the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is an operational agreement, adding “although some countries have been making every effort to undermine the deal, they have not been successful in their attempts up to now.”

He went on to voice hope that the strong support of European countries, Russia, and China for the nuclear deal would help preserve the agreement despite US measures to violate and cancel it; “the nuclear deal strengthens the NPT and is in the best interest of Iran and the international community,” he stressed.

The AEOI head further deemed the current crises in region ‘fabricated’ by certain countries, adding “with God’s help, these conditions will come back to affect the crisis-makers in the region and they will sink in the very crises they have created.”
