TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (MNA) – A member of the Iranian delegation that has traveled to Spain to discuss the roadmap for Iran-Spain economic relations said “negotiations to facilitate banking relations are on the agenda.”

An Iranian official accompanying the business-banking delegation that has gone Spain to discuss the development of economic, banking relations between the two countries said “the Iranian banking and business delegation travelled to Spain Sunday so as to negotiate the development of economic relations between the two countries. During these negotiations the roadmap for Iran-Spain economic relations is to be signed.”

“Sixty Iranian companies and representatives from public and private sectors in areas of oil and gas, petro-chemistry, banking, insurance, agriculture, energy, technical and engineering services, science-based products and Nano-technology have attended the negotiations in Madrid in order to pursue business objectives,” he added.

“Areas of cooperation are determined and we attempt, thereupon, to increase cooperation with the European Union; however Iran Trade Promotion Organization is responsible for holding Iran, Spain joint meeting, and we agreed that bilateral cooperation takes place within the framework of the roadmap,” he asserted.

“The roadmap includes monetary, banking and financial issues and we discuss banking issues more specifically today and tomorrow. We hope that the negotiations lead to the signature of a cooperation document that perpetuates collaboration and results in the creation of a working group in this area,” he concluded.
