According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will attend the seventh ministerial meeting of Caspian littoral states together with counterparts from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Zarif will be accompanied by a delegation comprising experts from the political, legal, border and other related areas at the meeting scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.
According to Ghasemi, the five foreign ministers will hold talks on the text of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, as well as ways to finalize the Convention and evaluate documents to be signed at the Fifth Caspian Summit in Kazakhstan.
According to Russian MFA statement, the documents are related to regulating five-way cooperation in the Caspian in various fields, including the economy, transport, military navigation, anti-poaching, safety of navigation and several others.
