“The recent developments in Lebanon have made this country stronger and more united and the officials of this country will spare no efforts to restore peace at the political arena of this country,” said Lebanese Envoy to Tehran Fadi Haj Ali.
He made the remarks, during his last meeting in Tehran with Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, touching upon the recent resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri in Riyadh on November 4. The term of Lebanese Ambassador to Tehran Fadi Haj Ali is close to end and he has been appointed to serve as Lebanon’s envoy to EU HQ in Brussels.
“Iran has a constructive role in the region and Iran’s contributive role in the Middle East is undeniable,” affirmed the Lebanese diplomat.
Thanking for the hospitality of Iranian officials during his term of service in Tehran, Fadi Haj Ali reassured that the expansion of political and parliamentary ties between Tehran and Beirut would continue afterward.
Mr. Amir-Abdollahian also wished him good luck in the new mission of representing Lebanon at EU HQ in Brussels.
“Lebanon has played a significant role at the front of resistance in the region and it is a source of pride,” asserted the Iranian official.
