In his message forwarded on Saturday, Iranian Vice-President Es’hagh Jahangiri congratulated Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and the people of Algeria as they celebrated the 63rd anniversary of the Revolution Day on November 1.
“Considering the many commonalities between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Iran voices readiness and strong determination to expand and deepen friendly relations with Algeria at the highest levels and in all areas of mutual interest aimed at realization of the two countries’ objectives,” Jahangiri said in his message.
He also prayed for the prime minister’s continued health and success, as well as the nation’s felicity and prosperity.
The Anniversary of the Revolution Day is the national day of Algeria, celebrated on 1 November and commemorating the start of the war of independence against France.
The Algerian embassy in Tehran held a commemoration ceremony on the occasion on Wednesday at the residence of Algerian ambassador to Tehran.
