TEHRAN, Nov. 04 (MNA) – Iranians have taken to the streets across the nation to mark the 38th anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Tehran.

Iranians across the nation are holding massive rallies to voice their disapproval of US policies on the National Day in the Fight against Global Arrogance, which marks the anniversary of the November 4th takeover of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979.

The rallies kicked off in the capital Tehran at 9:30 AM in front of the former US embassy on Taleghani St., which is better known in Iran as the “den of spies”.

Ali Shamkhani, adviser to Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, will deliver a speech at the ceremony.

November 4 falls on 13th day of the Iranian calendar month, Aban, and is also known as the Student Day to honor those who stormed the US embassy, captured its operatives and seized documents revealing US plots to overthrow the Islamic establishment in Iran.
