TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (MNA) – The Chairman of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, and Austrian Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs, Michael Linhart, met on Sunday in Tehran.

“Developing ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, as one of the great countries of the region, is of prime importance for Austria,” said Austrian Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs, Michael Linhart, on Sunday in Tehran.

The Austrian ranking diplomat, who is visiting Iran, made the remarks during his meeting with the Chairman of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi.

“Austria and other European countries are aligned with Iran in supporting the JCPOA agreement and will not allow some unbridled measures endanger the deal,” reiterated the Austrian secretary-general for foreign affairs.

The Iranian lawmaker also touched upon the same issue and criticized the recent remarks of American president against the nuclear agreement of July 14, 2015.

“The JCPOA is a multilateral agreement approved by UN resolution and nobody is able to annul the deal unilaterally,” highlighted the Iranian senior legislator.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will give a crushing and appropriate response to Americans if they violate the JCPOA,” declared Mr. Boroujerdi.
