TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker who is visiting Russia’s Saint Petersburg to attend the 137th IPU meeting, met with his counterparts from Oman, Nigeria, Kuwait, and Pakistan.

“Terrorism is not for a specific region and the migrations caused by the presence of terrorists double the necessity of permanent fight against terrorism,” said Ali Larijani, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament on Monday, during the meeting with his Nigerian counterpart.

The two legislators met on the sidelines of the137th meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The Iranian lawmaker hailed the bilateral ties between Iran and Nigeria and called for expansion of ties in areas of economy and industry especially oil nd gas industries. “Good parliamentary ties will cement the relations between the two countries,” asserted the Iranian top MP.

Also in Saint Petersburg, Mr. Larijani met with his counterparts from Pakistan, Kuwait, and Oman.
