TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (MNA) – Brigadier General Jazayeri of Iran says that Iran will have stricter controls over borders with Iraqi Kurdistan, on the request of Iraqi central government.

“The independence referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan was US conspiracy to sabotage the Resistance Axis,” commented Brigadier General Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, on Saturday.

The Iranian senior commander made the remark when asked about the possible role of US and Israeli regime in north Iraq crisis.

“Not only they have not succeeded in their plots, but also the Resistance front has achieved unexpected success,” he maintained that the American plots against the Resistance front have yielded nothing.

“These failures have been costly for the Americans and the Zionists, so they have turned to their next scenario which is the long-run disintegration of the countries of the region,” Mr. Jazayari said, “to reach this goal they have taken advantage of the Iraqi Kurdistan but we hope the issue be resolved with the help of the people and countries of the region.”

“There are some multilateral measures underway and following the official request of Iraqi government more strict controls will be imposed on borders shared by KRG,” noted the Iranian commander in response to question whether the borders get tighter.
