Bahram Ghasemi, Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a message to extend congratulations on the notable achievement by Iran’s CP football team who landed second at 2017 IFCPF CP Football World Championships in Argentina.
“The invaluable success in the result of efforts, determination and will of Iran’s para athletes, technical staff and Iran’s Sports Federation for the Disabled,” reads Ghasemi’s congratulatory message.
The official also wished success for all those involved in the accomplishment in all stages of their lives.
Iran’s CP football team suffered a loss in the face of Ukrainian rivals to land in the second place at 2017 IFCPF CP Football World Championships in Argentina.
The final showdown saw Iranian and Ukrainian CP footballers competing over the gold medal. At the end of a breath-taking debut, Ukraine got the better of the Persian side with only one goal.
