Following speech of the President Rouhani in the UN General Assembly (UNGA) conference and his emphasis on Iran's readiness for trade capacities, Canada and Iran Businessmen Association (CIBA) held its first annual conference in Montreal, Canada. The joint event also aimed to aim to introduce trade and commercial capacities of the two countries.
The purpose of the conference was to establish a bridge between Canadian and Iranian businesses, by networking and introducing both Canadian and Iranian businesspeople to great opportunities and to guide them to specialized forums and organizations in view of facilitating communication and collaboration between these respective entities to develop trade.
Secretary of Iran-Canada friendship society Mojtaba Ahmadlo, one of the sponsors of the conference said that considering legal issues and banking exchange obstacles for trade with Iran, Iran's strategic importance in the region and its political stability and economic capacities for imports and exports were among issues discussed in the conference.
CIBA is a non-governmental and non-profit institute, which by referring to commercial law of Canada and Iran in different fields of trade, commerce, industry and agriculture is trying to create and expand appropriate grounds for reciprocal cooperation among businessmen and companies of the two countries.
Having its head office in Quebec, Canada, CIBA holds a global vision for expansion of trades between Canada and Iran.
CIBA has extended contacts which allow its members to be in contact with businesses in Iran and in Canada. Therefore, CIBA is able to bring business opportunities in Iran for Canadian business, in various fields such as export, distribution of franchisee, etc. On the other hand, CIBA is able to introduce business opportunities to Iranian who wish to invest in the Canadian economy, the whole in private as well as public sectors.
